Dress & Equipment 「」

Dress

Students attire includes a black hakama with a blue or black keiko-gi (held together with an obi).  New students may wear clean, respectful athletic wear until they purchase their own uniform.  Please talk to the instructor about how to obtain these.  Optional clothing includes han juban, tabi or knee pads.

Equipment

Students are expected to procure a wooden bokken, iaito, and shinken through the course of their study.  Suburito (a longer, heavier bokken), as well as cleaning kits and sword bags, also make great additions.
