The Seibu Ryu hombu dojo is based in Fuji City, Japan, just beyond the foothills of Mt. Fuji, located two hours southwest from Tokyo. It is here where Takeshi Mochizuki, the head instructor, teaches.

Soke Mochizuki
Mochizuki Sensei began training with Shinto Ryu in 1965. He would go on to win numerous awards and competitions for his swordwork, including the prestigious Prime Minister's Cup.
In 1986, he achieved the title of Inka, which signified he had completed all training and had reached a "higher understanding". He then formalized this understanding by forming Seibu Ryu in 1990. He sadly passed away in the fall of 2022. |

Born May 1st, 1938 Martial Arts 1957 April entered Tokyo Judo School 1959 March graduated 5th degree Kodokan Judo blackbelt 1965 Jan 15 Shinto Ryu Iaijutsu Watanabe-ha began training under Kinoshita-sensei 1968 Jan 16 achieved shodan 1979 July 1 " received Renshi Menkyo 1979 July 31 left Shintoryu Watanabe-ha and entered Shinto Ryu Sokechokumon-ha [direct students of Soke] 1981 June 21 Winner of both kata and cutting, All Japan Iaijutsu Batto 1983 Jun 26 National Battojutsu Memorial Tournament winner and receiver of Prime Minister's Cup 1986 Nov 1 Shinto Ryu Iaijutsu/Battojutsu received Inka from Hibino-Soke 1990 Feb 16 Established Seibujuku for the teaching of Shinto / Seibu Ryu Iaibattojutsu and kama jutsu
