Included here are martial styles and practices that relate to our school. Seibu Ryu DOES NOT TEACH any of these but they are included here to better understand our style and its place within Japanese martial arts.
Kenjutsu'Kenjutsu' typically describes the styles or schools of swordsmanship that emphasize the one-on-one combative aspects of the art. It can also be used as the umbrella word for swordsmanship.

Kendo
Kendo is a popular sport where participants use bamboo swords to strike one another. Derived from traditional Japanese martial arts, it still retains the etiquette and formalism found in 'Budo'.

Aikido
Aikido is a martial art focused on grappling that not only descends from the fighting techniques used by the samurai, but incorporates sword fundamentals into its core structure.
